Friday

     Wow! Not much else to say about this morning other than it was full of love. We began just after Ashlynn lead us through morning meeting. We read It's Hug Day! by Sarah Willson and shared hugs with one another. Shortly thereafter, Pattie stopped in to read to us quickly because she was out sick yesterday and didn't make it. She read Arthur's Valentine by Marc Brown. We then ate fruit break and were off to Spanish. Elena has left for Bolivia with some of our Middle School students. The children were excited to learn they'll have Bernie for Spanish for the next several weeks.
     After Spanish and a short fruit break recess, we immediately began our buddy party! We went to Betsy's room and worked on snowflake hearts and beaded a necklace or bracelet with our big buddy. After we finished those activities, we went into Kim H.'s room and did two more activities with our big buddies. We made a flower and some garland with hearts and ribbon. The children had a great time and were so happy to be spending the morning with their friends. Pictures coming soon!

     - Valentines are due by Monday. We're having our valentine exchange with Ruth Ann's class Monday morning. In case you have misplaced your list of names for valentines, here is another. :)
