Wednesday

Today, we were lead through morning meeting by Sylvia. Quickly thereafter, we began literacy workshop. We practiced writing our names and then did a cutting project. The children cut out five different sized leprechauns and glued them down in order from largest to smallest. This project jumped ahead a little into our next math workshop unit. Once we finish up spatial relationships we'll begin ordering. During that unit, we'll be doing lots and lots of ordering.
Also this morning, the children had Early Learner Music class. Later, we finished up our leprechaun project and played with play-doh and moon sand.

In honor of the fabulous Dr. Seuss, we're having a Dr. Seuss Celebration all next week. Please help us to celebrate! To help us celebrate, your child should...
Monday, 2/28 - wear their favorite color to school.
Tuesday, 3/1 - wear funny and crazy socks.
Wednesday, 3/2 - wear something wacky.
Thursday, 3/3 - wear a funny hat.
Friday, 3/4 - dress up as what they want to be when they grow up.

Pet rocks are being sent home this afternoon! Half day students will bring theirs home tomorrow.

HELP!! Our stock of Goldfish crackers has run dry. Katie and I keep a box of them so that whenever a student doesn't have fruit break or enough lunch they don't have to worry. Katie's class provided the last box, and now it's our turn. Please let me know if you'd like to buy a 2 lb. box to donate to our two classes. Nothing fancy! We simply request cheddar. Your kindness and generosity is greatly appreciated!
