Wacky Wednesday

Wow! What wacky outfits the children had today! We had all sorts of things from wacky headbands to mismatched shoes, silly skirts and backwards pajamas. Not a single person noticed my mismatched earrings today...hope I don't wear them like that often!
To celebrate wacky Wednesday, we read Wacky Wednesday by Dr. Seuss. There are all kinds of silly things that happen in this book. Ask your child what their favorite wacky thing was in the story. A few pages had shoes on the ceiling - they seemed to be a hit!

We also had early learner music class this morning. Afterwards, we got together with Katie's class and listened to Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. We then tried some of our own! Chef Katie cooked up some green eggs and ham. The children were surprised we didn't use food coloring. We added chopped spinach to the pan and the children couldn't get enough. They lined up for seconds and were begging for thirds. A few pictures are posted to the right. We also took a minute this afternoon to sing "Happy Birthday" to Dr. Seuss and eat a cookie in his honor.

Tomorrow we'll continue our Dr. Seuss celebration by wearing funny hats to school!
